Um yeah. I think it’s safe to say she ROCKED her senior portraits this morning.
[P.S. About 3 minutes after this, I sat in a fire ant mound. Nice. But I don’t care. Did you *see* this picture??!]

She’s got it! And it was worth a million fire ant bites to get to work with her tonight! Lovin’ these senior pictures! Such a neat change of pace from babies and toddlers 😉

I was so excited to meet up with this young lady to kick off a very busy month of senior portraits and I’m afraid she set the bar pretty high! I’m hoping I can talk her into sharing a little more about her post-graduation plans on the blog, too (hint, hint).

gift_card_austin_photographer.jpg

Did you know I offer gift cards? Yes. I do! When you purchase a gift, I will send a beautiful little card with a personalized note to your recipient. These are perfect for baby showers, birthday gifts, holidays, you name it! (Just make sure your recipient actually wants/needs a session with me first, however, as gift cards are not refundable).

If you are expecting and have already booked a session with me, you can “register” for your maternity portraits, birth photography, and/or baby’s newborn photo session. I can even send cards to include in shower invitations, etc.

Of course, you could also take this route (my all time fav!).

crazy_iphone_austin_kids_photographer.jpg

I need to be stopped. I’ve officially gone crazy over these amazing iPhone cases from Get Uncommon (thanks a lot, Lyndsay ;-). I wasn’t really sure about the quality until I saw it in person and wow! It’s amazing! I may end up with a whole collection of these puppies.

Clients…if you have an iPhone, you’ve got to give this a try!!! In fact, if you want to use one of the images from any session with me, let me know and I would be happy to format it for you (the wrap can actually be a little tricky as I’ve learned and sometimes you need a little extra special photoshop work ;-). Contact me by the end of this month (even if you haven’t actually had your session yet) and I’ll help you out.

P.S. I think these would rock for seniors!

austin_high_school_senior.jpgPinkle Toes Photography is looking for positive, outgoing, and energetic high school juniors who will be graduating from any high school in the Austin area in 2011 (Westlake, Cedar Park, Leander, Lake Travis, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown, etc). This is your chance to have your senior portraits taken for FREE and earn unique photo rewards! Signed model release will be required. The process is very selective and we will only choose one senior model per high school. If you’re interested in finding out more, please fill out this form. Deadline to apply is May 31st.

Not only is this senior absolutely stunning, she (and her mommy) are both incredibly beautiful on the inside, too. We had such a fun time gallivanting around Austin that night. I didn’t want it to end, really.  M…congratulations to you on your upcoming graduation. You (and your mommy) should be very, very proud. (And yes, I still say mommy.)

1.jpgt_austin_engagement_photographer.jpgpom_austin_newborn_photographer.jpg(I know you’ve seen these images before…I’ll explain below ;-))

1. We are CLOSED March 25th-April 5th, so I will return all e-mails/phone calls as soon as I can after that.

2. Thank you to EVERYONE who took the time to participate in the blogstalker scavenger hunt and for all of your kind comments. I can’t believe we had 84 entries! But of course, there can only be one winner.  Congrats to entry number 82, Alexis…Random.org selected YOU! 😉 I’ve sent you an e-mail so let me know if you’d like the gift card or the charitable donation.

3. For March’s Pic of the Month I simply could not decide so we have a three-way tie (no worries…this will not lessen anyone’s chances of winning Pic of the Year). The first image is from her senior portraits session and I selected it because I don’t think she has any idea just how lovely she is, inside and out.  The second was from this incredible engagement session and I just had to recognize them because they endured extreme winds, 38 degree weather, and insane mud just to hang out in some flowers for a few minutes. The final image isn’t technically a “March” picture, but I was really torn last month…it’s probably one of my most favorite nursing images to date and I feel like it speaks volumes for the connections created between mother and baby.

austin_featured_birth_photographer.jpg4. Speaking of moms and babies, I’m so excited to share that images from Emme’s birth were featured in the latest issue of Midwifery Today magazine! I was so thrilled to see such wonderful articles on homebirth and I loved reading what Emme’s mommy had to say about her birth experience. Congrats!

m3_austin_senior_pictures.jpgNot sure if I’ve ever met a more put-together, ambitious, dedicated and kind soul. She is going places, no doubt. But wow…look at what she does on camera! I could have taken pictures all night! It was my extreme honor to get to work with you tonight.

m4_austin_senior_pictures.jpg[Still ONE opening left for our Xpressions
next Sunday. I’ve got a GREAT little spot picked out and my husband is
assigned to dragging out the clawfoot tub for us. And, don’t forget about the scavenger
hunt contest
. Cool prize. Ends March 22nd.]
