about it being 100+ degrees outside:
Okay. I’m done moping now. Here are a few photos from his newborn session…
This day was a big deal. In more ways than one. His birth definitely brought happy tears from everyone in the room. If you haven’t been reading Andrea’s blog, you should be. She is a phenomenal writer and helped create an incredible source of healing for many women all over the world. After you watch Carter’s birth below, you should definitely read Andrea’s words on her experience. She tells it much better than I ever could. Andrea…I can’t tell you enough how happy I am for your family and how wonderful it is to get to watch Natalie and Carter grow up through your lens and your inspiring words.
I’ve really been enjoying lifestyle newborn sessions like this. It’s not about the latest prop or the coolest blanket or headband. It’s about a family just being a family and pulling in elements of their current circumstances into the images so they can always remember these early, fleeting days.
I loved the personality of this session, too. It was fast-paced and spunky (much like the older brothers) and sprinkled with lots of love (I couldn’t get over how connected the eldest was to his littlest bro). I remember it was insanely windy that day and we almost weren’t able to go outside. Not sure how little man put up with all of our antics that morning, but he was just as cute as he could be and I don’t even recall any tears (from him ;-).
