SUPER CUTE (deja vu?)

I could have *sworn* I had already blogged his newborn pictures (scroll down here for baby-in-belly;-), but evidently, I haven’t (or if I have, just smile and nod.) This may very well have to be noted as one of the coolest newborns ever. And of course when I walked in and saw the giant “Where the Wild Things Are” monster, well…

…he was awfully comfy and cozy there.

Sometimes it’s nice to sit back

and appreciate how much time is actually put into a session–before, during, and after. In looking through these, I know how each image is special for it’s own reasons. And then when you think that these are only a handful of the images that have been created so far this year–not just by me, but by every other person who owns a camera–wow! This digital age is truly something beyond comprehension!

Been a while since I’ve posted one of these, but…

Want to see a birth? [Google Reader peeps…you’ll have to actually click the link to view]:

1) This was the first time that I actually arrived at the hospital *before* the expecting parents. I was so afraid I had gone to the wrong hospital or something. It was really neat to get to capture literally *everything* from beginning to end.
2) She was brave. Very, very brave.
3) I love how baby girl’s brother and sisters were all so excited to see her. It’s easy to tell she was loved even before she officially arrived.

Sometimes, when you have a toddler at home, it’s nice to treat yourself to a few minutes away to revel in this new life getting ready to enter the world. I’m glad you came out today…you look radiant!

Love is in the air.

I’m a sucker for Valentine’s Day. I know it’s all so commercial, but I can’t help it. I love the colors, I love the sentiment, I loved making valentines and valentine mailboxes, I loved the excitement of wondering if I had any secret admirers growing up (turns out I didn’t, but still… ;-), I love that my mom always had a special little treat waiting for us downstairs when we woke in the morning, and I love that I get to carry on that tradition with my kiddos.

I also love hearts. Especially bokeh hearts. And I love getting to work with two people who are very much IN love. And I love the anticipation of wondering who that new little person will be…

Aren’t they so lovely together? I’m very much looking forward to meeting that baby in a few months! [As with all Xpressions sessions, these images have only received basic adjustments to color/contrast, but no full retouching]

Milestone: First official studio session today!

And with this rain, we were so lucky to have the studio space! This couple couldn’t be more lovely or more fun to work with and I cannot wait to meet their sweet baby girl in a few months. Thanks to you both for making the trip today and being up for anything.
