Archive for 'Austin Baby'
Oh, this little man. So handsome and he knows it! There was so much for him to see while we were in downtown Austin and he sure enjoyed being the center of attention with his entourage. We grown ups must have looked like a bunch crazies, cooing and making faces and trying to get him to laugh, LOL. He does dashing well, though, don’t you think?
P.S. The last I looked, the holiday mini sessions are more than half full. Don’t miss out!
Make no mistake about it, this mama is BUSY!!! I remember being so amazed during her maternity session several years ago that there were TWO babies in there and now I’m just as amazed by how she keeps up with these adorable little monkey bugs with perfect grace and enthusiasm nowadays! In case you missed it, you should really treat yourself to these smarties in a little behind-the-scenes video from their session. Couple of favs featured HERE and HERE. And oh yes, we thought we’d revisit THIS attempt at a specific image last year ;-). I love both equally.
And finally, side note: the 3rd Annual Holiday Mini sessions are being snagged up pretty quickly. Don’t wait too much longer to secure your spot. We will not be adding extra dates and times.
Last year, a good friend of mine had a baby at the very same time my sister was walking down the aisle. I was supposed to have been at the birth, but alas, I was matron-of-honoring for my sis and I owed Lynds something in exchange for these. So, I managed to grab some during a short visit when Jonah was a babe (here and here), but we needed to do more. I didn’t mind so much. He’s pretty darned cute and may be the most photographed baby on the planet ;-). Seriously, though, he has the most perfect, creamy baby skin and those eyes/lashes and that smile? Edible baby ;-).
Since I first met Bev three years ago (and under the most stressful of circumstances), her world has changed just a little bit…and I would say for the better. I am so very impressed with how she took charge of her birth experience with this little chunky monkey and fought for what she knew she could do and searched and searched to find a doctor who believed in her just as much as she believed in herself. I hope she will get around to sharing her story someday online because it is truly inspirational and I am just in awe of what she did. Even during baby E’s newborn session, she kept exclaiming, “I can’t believe this baby came out of me!!!” I agree. I can’t believe it either. She is soooooo petite and he is sooooo…well, er…well nourished. He has the best personality already and truly captivates everyone who dares to lock eyes with him. It was something else to watch how his big brother took such care of him. (Speaking of big brother: wow, he’s changed a tad since I saw him last). More favs I couldn’t fit in this post HERE, HERE, and HERE. 😉
P.S. I am choosing to blame my clients/friends for my serious Kendra Scott addiction. That’s what I tell my husband, anyway.
This is baby B and he’d like you to know a little bit more about him:
Favorite color: It’s a toss up between orange and blue.
Favorite food: Mama’s milk
Favorite place to sleep: in someone’s arms
Favorite time to sleep: only as long as no one else is asleep
Favorite thing to do after a long, hard day of being cute: lounge in his favorite orange chair
Favorite big sister: this one, of course!
Favorite photographer: his mommy (but Pinkle Toes is pretty cool, too 😉

On the topic of favorites, here are some of my other favorite images HERE, HERE, and just added today…HERE.
As evidenced by the second image up there, little man didn’t quite know what to make of me at first at his session. I first met him when he was just a babe, so I can understand that he probably didn’t remember me. However, little did we know, the true way to little boy blue’s heart was by letting him strip down and hop into a dub of water! Oh my word! You would have thought all of his dreams came true in that one little moment. His mommy and I kept commenting that we made it the best day of his life…and considering he’s only been around for 365 or so days, that is probably very, very true 😉 Fav image from this session pictured HERE.
That was a special reference just for her daddy who, for some reason, falls into this awesome southern lawyer courtroom voice whenever he’s talking to his baby girl ;-). This little doll baby is so incredibly photogenic (well, her whole family is, actually) and doesn’t she make the CUTEST faces? Such expression for a wee baby! Oh, I adore her!
[Not entirely out of place here, but thought I would mention that with the exception of the tractor, this is a pretty good look at the greenhouse we’ll be using for the upcoming .emme. boudoir Secret Garden mini sessions in September. We have just a couple of openings left, so contact me ASAP for full details.]
Oh, little one. Each time I’ve had the joy of getting to hang out with you, you have brought a smile to everyone’s faces. You have done your parents proud and you’re only 1/2 a year old. You are sunshine!
I first met this beautiful family shortly after he was born. But now that he’s almost 1/2 a year old, mama really wanted to capture him at this stage in his life…with some baby chub, wonderful smiles, and discovering fun things to do together every day. The jasmine in their yard that day was the most incredibly I had ever seen or smelled. It was everywhere, draping over everything, and filling the air with such sweetness, it would almost knock you down. After little man got bored being outside, we went in for his favorite time of the day: BATH TIME! These moments captured during their bath brought back a flood of memories of me and my own children that overwhelmed and saddened me a little, too. I’m so glad we got to document these moments for them…so glad. It won’t be long before he’s tromping up the stairs to the shower by himself (well, sometimes you have to beg and plead for boys to shower on their own, lol).
Two more that I LOVE HERE and HERE.
ADORABLE fellow! He is the quintessential baby…chub in all the right places, dimples, big hazel eyes, and a smile that lights up a room! Finishing up my edits on this session today was quite therapeutic. His infectious smile and the relaxed, lifestyle nature of our session made me very, very thankful for the opportunity to be there to capture this time for their family. (Don’t miss this little gem!)
