I love, love, love working on SOCO (South Congress) in downtown Austin. I love, love, love when I get to do so with a VERY fun family that loves to laugh and explore and is up for pretty much anything. Makes me really appreciate the city in which I live and the awesome people that dwell here with me! (Another fav HERE).
I love that this mama loves color just as much as I do (if not more?). I will maintain that this was the very last day of summer, even though this was just a few weeks ago at the end of September. While it’s not “cold” by any stretch of the imagination right now, it’s certainly not warm enough to do a kitschy, Airstream, all-American-summer-fun inspired photo session these days. I’m so glad we got to do this! It makes me think of my summers as a kiddo, where a soda pop, a pinwheel, and a blow up pool could turn an ordinary day into something magical! Another image HERE and my absolute FAV HERE and do NOT miss this one HERE!
Oh, this little man. So handsome and he knows it! There was so much for him to see while we were in downtown Austin and he sure enjoyed being the center of attention with his entourage. We grown ups must have looked like a bunch crazies, cooing and making faces and trying to get him to laugh, LOL. He does dashing well, though, don’t you think?
P.S. The last I looked, the holiday mini sessions are more than half full. Don’t miss out!
Yeah, I always get a bit misty when I see my newborns for their ONE YEAR photo session :-(. I love seeing how much they’ve stayed the same and at the same time, just how much they’ve changed. Mommy brought a special book to use for this session…it was hers growing up (you can even see her name she wrote on the cover) and he was completely enthralled with looking at the pages. Smart kid! {another fav HERE}
And finally, here’s another one of our Pinkle’s Pic of the Year 2012 winners! I think it’s really cool that all three families chose to have their sessions on South Congress…so distinctly Austin! I loved the outfits mom coordinated for them…this vintage cowgirl look with a touch of modern. Well done! Of course, I love all the outfits she puts together for all of her sessions ;-). And, you MUST check out the pic that I have deemed most ironic photo I’ve ever taken HERE.
As one of the winners of the 2012 Pinkle’s Pic of the Year, they got to have a photo session in downtown Austin. Who doesn’t love SOCO and all of it’s bright, funky, fun and colorful spots? It was so much fun to hang out and catch up with these guys and I’m anxiously awaiting my turn to get my hands on that little baby cooking up there 😉 Congrats again, my friend!!! [One more don’t-miss-favity-fav shown HERE]
I will always vividly remember this evening. It was super, duper warm and it also happened to be Food Trailer Tuesday in downtown at the park and so there were people *everywhere*. But that didn’t stop us. Not one bit. We laughed a lot, which is a wonderful thing because look at their smiles! These sisters are twins, yes, but their personalities are very, very distinct. And I loved that they got to share their senior portrait session experience together, but had plenty of one-on-one time as well. Beautiful girls with tons of much-deserved confidence and I hope their senior year is MAGIC!!! A neato little pic not pictured is shared HERE and another fav of them together HERE.
Not gonna lie. I do get a little bit excited when I get the opportunity to do some senior portraits. I mean, it is kinda nice to have a subject that will stay in one spot for more than 5 seconds, but even more so, I love it when we get to collaborate creatively together to come up with something new and fresh and personal and a brand new take on traditional high school senior photos. She was magnificent! I loved her willingness to try anything and my goodness, does she not have the perfect look and profile for one of those mod/hippy 60’s super models? You won’t want to miss my absolute favorite and most unusual senior picture HERE. I’m so very, very glad we got to work together. It was a fabulous afternoon!
If you are a graduating senior (class of 2014) in the Austin or surrounding areas (Westlake, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Lake Travis, Buda, Georgetown, etc.), NOW is the time to schedule your senior portraits! While I’m already booked up for the fall, we can absolutely create amazing senior pictures for you at a session in January or February of next year. Contact me ASAP to get full session details!
I love, love, loved all of the beautiful colors…the bold, bright blues and reds and sunshine and blue skies. And I love, love, loved that we got to fly a kite…a lot…and it actually worked! But my favorite image from this session can only be found here ;-).
