That I have been “working” with these little sweeties since they were in their mommy’s tummy. I remember her maternity session so vividly…she was so tiny…so lovely and I couldn’t believe there were two babies in there (her belly is featured in one of my portfolio galleries, but you’ll have to guess which one). And then I remember the day I officially met the girls, some of my favorite newborn images were taken at their newborn session (I do believe the adorable toes in the fourth image HERE belong to them) and then I remember a cute little vintage session in downtown Georgetown to celebrate their 1st birthday and then playing in a park at sunset to commemorate age 2 and now here we are, THREE years later and I feel like I *know* them. And it makes me equally proud and wistful to look back on all of those images we’ve taken over the past three years. And it makes me excited to have this little “preview” of my twin nieces. These girls are such bright little bundles of happiness and joy and spunk! Loved getting to play hide ‘n seek with them and their mommy (probably my FAV image HERE ;-).
Oh, and while we’re on the topic of spunk, how about this little outtake from their holiday mini session:
On that note, I am finishing up the last round of holiday minis starting Friday! It’s not too late to snag a spot, *if* you can make it Friday morning as Saturday and Sunday are totally full. Drop a line and I’ll get you all the info you need to know. I can’t help it that I’m just a teensy bit excited that there’s a light at the end of the holiday tunnel (that started in August) and super duper thrilled with all of the images we’ve taken at the mini sessions so far and the BEAUTIFUL, wintry holiday cards I’ve helped my clients create. They are turning out just amazing!
Just a small peek into what I’ve been working on over the past several weeks. Debating on if I should show more or keep it as a surprise for all the kiddos who are taking part? Hmmmmm…
These kids-only holiday mini sessions are already HALF FULL and I only just opened the sign up last week! Wow! The 10 minute mini session + one FREE digital file of your choice is ONLY available to clients who book a full session for 2015. (Sorry, you cannot purchase the mini session on its own). Also, while I totally understand that grown ups want to play in my wondrous wintry set, these sessions are kids only. If you’ve been thinking about experiencing a Pinkle Toes photo session, this is a GREAT time to take the leap! Please contact us as soon as possible to get the full session and mini session details because there is an EXTRA bonus that comes with your holiday mini for booking early. *hint, hint*
Okay, off to play in the “snow” some more…

It is hard to comprehend sometimes that I have been working with this beautiful little girl since she was a beautiful little newborn baby. Every. Single. Year. Since she was born. And that makes me proud and tear up at the same time. Each year, I can still see *some* bits of that little baby, but each year, it gets more and more difficult to find. It’s like watching my own daughter grow up, but because I only these guys once a year, this leaving childhood seems to happen at warp speed.
I have so many favorite images from their family session in my greenhouse…that one of her leaping onto the bed like a little flying squirrel, lol…the double kiss on daddy’s cheek…her holding her puppy dog in the wildflower field (you have to go HERE to see that one)…a shared secret between her and her mommy…and many more that I don’t even have room to post. I so enjoyed our afternoon together. What a pleasure! What an honor! What a treasury of memories collected over the past FIVE years!

I know I keep hinting around at the upcoming 4th Annual Pinkle Toes Holiday Mini sessions and it’s been killing me because I haven’t had time to finish the set to give you the full picture. Actually, maybe I should take a picture of my studio now so you can see it all laying around in carefully crafted bits and pieces, lol. But, if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you may have seen a few teasers ;-).The minis are coming at the end of November and did you know that everyone who books a full session with me for 2015 can snag one of the spaces for the minis (while they last) which includes at least one FREE image for your holiday cards and gifts and let me tell you, the spaces fill up VERY fast! If you’ve already booked a session with me this year, you should have gotten the sign up sheet (if not, let me know). To get on the list to receive details when the holiday mini sessions are officially announced, be sure to contact me ASAP.
I know in most parts of the country right now, fall means lovely golden foliage and crisp temps. Here in Austin, it’s a little different, but just as beautiful, I think. So excited the timing worked out where we could use these beautiful purple flowers (such a short window as they are all gone now) and play outside without having to be bundled up. And this little girl is just a ball of beautiful energy! She just radiates joy, doesn’t she? FAV family image can be found HERE.
My little sunshine has been under the weather for the past few days and I’m anxious to start seeing this smile of hers again. Every year on our land, the Gayfeather (aka Blazing Star) comes into bloom and it always makes me think back to 5 years ago when I first photographed my daughter in them. I always think about revisiting that shoot, but somehow it never works out. I was determined to make it happen this year. Doesn’t even seem like the same little girl to me. Well, her beautiful spirit hasn’t changed 😉 [My absolute fav HERE].
Seriously, 9 months old is probably my favorite baby age. I love it because at this stage, babies are still, well, baby-like, but they are so incredibly aware and expressive. And then of course there’s that delicious baby chub that will sadly start to disappear as soon as she starts running around. I love how the mustard and turquoise and gold and Pinkle Toes pink and red came together to create this bright and bold and atypical fall palette. I would say it’s like a happy little rainbow of all of my most-loved colors sparkling up there. And don’t miss her perfect, charming smile in this pic HERE!
I mean seriously, look at all of that cuteness and personality! But of course, it’s not surprising since her big brother is just as charming! We could not have had more perfect weather for their family session in at my greenhouse at the studio. Actually, the spoiled me and fooled me into thinking the weather would still be as kind to me in June. Not so ;-).

Another session fav on the Pinkle Toes Facebook Page!
I’ve been so caught up in prepping for the upcoming lifestyle photography workshops (New Jersey, Texas, California, and Washington), I totally forgot I needed to blog some sneaks from this session! And that’s sad, too, because I LOVED this session and the magic and wonder of childhood it seemed to capture. We could not have asked for more beautiful light or temperatures that evening and it’s hard to believe we were able to work in the greenhouse without passing out ;-). I know that will all end soon, but I’m going to enjoy the slightly cooler than normal temps as much as I can right now. See my favorite butterfly image LARGE!
I cannot believe these beauties are already ONE YEAR old! We celebrated their first birthday in such style and I have to admit it was fun for me to get a glimpse into the future of my twin nieces next year ;-). The girls were so patient as we plopped them down in place after place, surrounded by those adorable pink fluffy tutus. And aren’t those cakes so beautiful???? It has been such a fun journey to watch these girls grow from baby bump to brand new babies to six months all the way to one year! [See this one larger of the pink belles surrounded by bluebonnets.]
