I’ve been working with this sweetie since she was just a wee babe. And now, she is just unstoppable. I love her adventurous spirit and her enthusiasm for everything around her. She is a beautiful, beautiful little girl…the product of two awesome parents, I must say 😉 (Some sweet sunflare HERE.)

Our second workshop in Toronto this summer got off to a perfect start. We had a short little break after the first one  (literally, less than 24 hrs 😉 and we even had a chance to see Niagara Falls! One pic from that is HERE, but yeah, eventually, I’ll get around to going through the rest of the pics from that awesome evening ;-).

Anyway, after a FAB dinner out the first night–where I might add, I had my first ever Caesar–the next morning, we had a lovely, lovely in-home newborn photo session with this beautiful family. Oh, that baby girl was delish!!! And I loved how into the session her big sister was!

Then, we ventured out into a beautiful little park, found completely by mistake, for our family photo session, subjects = the wonderful Kerri Davis (who also happens to be a Pinkle Toes Workshop grad ;-)–oh man, I went to look for her workshop post and I realized I have not blogged her workshop yet!!! OH MY WORD! Must fix that as soon as I can).

So, I was told by a certain someone that there were no rattlesnakes or the likes of fire ants up in Toronto and I may have let my guard down a little too much. OH MY WORD! We were attacked by the most vicious biting ants I’ve ever dealt with in my life!!!! I’ll take fire ants over these little devils any day! They would NOT leave us alone and each place we would get bitten would go almost totally numb. WHAT? Yeah. At least I know how to spot a fire ant mound to avoid it 😉 No matter…we still had a rockin’ session!!!

I know there are many photogs out there anxiously awaiting word on the 2014 workshops. Trust me…I am right there with you. Lots of factors coming into play making scheduling a little bit tricker than I had anticipated. But soon…very, very soon, I promise. Hang in there.

My favorite kinds of people are those who are beautiful…inside and out, and don’t quite realize it. M – having met you, I know you have the confidence to follow your passions and I think it’s pretty cool that you’ve know what those are for a very long time. Congrats!!

Yes, I will admit that this photo session might “look” like it was all about that ADORABLE little puppy dog, Joy, here in these pictures. I promise it wasn’t. I promise we spent lots of time photographing the whole beautiful family. But tonight, Joy steals the show for us. I think you’ll be okay with that. [My FAV]

I love that this mama loves color just as much as I do (if not more?). I will maintain that this was the very last day of summer, even though this was just a few weeks ago at the end of September. While it’s not “cold” by any stretch of the imagination right now, it’s certainly not warm enough to do a kitschy, Airstream, all-American-summer-fun inspired photo session these days. I’m so glad we got to do this! It makes me think of my summers as a kiddo, where a soda pop, a pinwheel, and a blow up pool could turn an ordinary day into something magical! Make no mistake about it, this mama is BUSY!!!  I remember being so amazed during her maternity session several years ago that there were TWO babies in there and now I’m just as amazed by how she keeps up with these adorable little monkey bugs with perfect grace and enthusiasm nowadays! In case you missed it, you should really treat yourself to these smarties in a little behind-the-scenes video from their session. Couple of favs featured HERE and HERE. And oh yes, we thought we’d revisit THIS attempt at a specific image last year ;-). I love both equally.

And finally, side note: the 3rd Annual Holiday Mini sessions are being snagged up pretty quickly. Don’t wait too much longer to secure your spot. We will not be adding extra dates and times.

These girls are SO strikingly beautiful and what little rays of sunshine! Hard to believe this is baby sis just a year ago. Still a little cherub ;-).

There is so much joy to be had when taking littles to a new place and letting them explore and experience new things. It’s one of those things I never really thought about before I became a parent and now I totally know what it means to see the world “through your children’s eyes.” I am so glad this family was willing to drive out here so early in the morning to do this and to bathe in the light of a stunning sunrise! [Don’t miss these two ADORABLE sibs HERE – one of the most attentive and loving big bros EVER!]

Last year, a good friend of mine had a baby at the very same time my sister was walking down the aisle. I was supposed to have been at the birth, but alas, I was matron-of-honoring for my sis and I owed Lynds something in exchange for these. So, I managed to grab some during a short visit when Jonah was a babe (here and here), but we needed to do more. I didn’t mind so much. He’s pretty darned cute and may be the most photographed baby on the planet ;-). Seriously, though, he has the most perfect, creamy baby skin and those eyes/lashes and that smile? Edible baby ;-).

You can try, but you are never going to meet a couple this kind, loving, generous, understanding, fun, and IN LOVE. I left this session on cloud nine, knowing I would love the pictures simply because I completely enjoyed the subjects. It makes my heart swell to think that good people like this in the world have found each other and will start a life together. I could not be happier for them. XOXO {another fav HERE}.
