He gave me a run for my money today, that’s for sure. But he’s still so cute and snuggly. Here’s hoping we all settle in for a nice, looooooong nap this afternoon.

Mom and dad asked for a very classic newborn session for their little girl. I don’t often do this kind of work (bendy baby and black backdrops), but it worked beautifully for her. She was in such a good mood the WHOLE session…it was such a treat!

It’s no secret that a sleepy newborn is a photographer’s dream. And, I’m not going to lie…I really enjoyed this little dude’s session because he was so squishy and teeny and mold-able. But, we did want at least one picture of his beautiful, soulful eyes and my goodness, he made us work for it. Mom, dad, grandma, and I tried *everything* to get him stay awake, but he would just yawn at us and go back to sleep. Finally…finally, we got one:

I need to be stopped. I’ve officially gone crazy over these amazing iPhone cases from Get Uncommon (thanks a lot, Lyndsay ;-). I wasn’t really sure about the quality until I saw it in person and wow! It’s amazing! I may end up with a whole collection of these puppies.

In fact, if you want to use one of the images from any session with me, let me know and I would be happy to format it for you (the wrap can actually be a little tricky as I’ve learned and sometimes you need a little extra special photoshop work ;-). Contact me by the end of this month (even if you haven’t actually had your session yet) and I’ll help you out.
P.S. I think these would rock for seniors!

…and I actually cried *again* flipping through the images of this major milestone. Saving those pics for mom and dad later, but this should tide everyone over. This little miracle is now 7 days old and he is amazing! [P.S. Thanks to dad for snapping the scrubbing in pics before we went in ;-)]

Baby Boy S
Born today at 28 weeks 5 days
2 lbs. 3 oz.
What a whirlwind entrance into this world and induction into parenthood! He and his mama are both so brave. Dad is a rock. Baby boy is perfection in a little, teeny, tiny bundle. I hope everyone is getting some much deserved rest tonight. There is indeed a long journey ahead. Congratulations on your beautiful new family!
