about it being 100+ degrees outside:
it makes for super, happy, relaxed little newborn babies. Isn’t she adorable? And I couldn’t get over that perfect little pout!!!
Speaking of sessions, did you know I only have five openings left for holiday sessions right now? And, they are all in September. October and November are booked solid. If you have been in contact with me about securing a family holiday session but haven’t actually reserved the session yet, I strongly encourage you to do so now.
Can’t wait to see what kind of beautiful wall creations we come up with using these new Signature Frames!
…family snuggles and special time just for dad + daughter…
…a piano prodigy, funny songs made up to Nirvana tunes by dad, headstands on a funky purple couch, lush green grass where mom and dad could rest for spell…
…bikes and wagons…
…sprinklers and watermelon…
…and even me! P.S. Remember the story about the bottom left photo? I still laugh about that.
Pretty is definitely the first word that comes to mind when I think of this session. This was from way back when it used to rain here. In fact, I think we actually had to reschedule because of rain which was a little risky since they had traveled in from New Mexico. Meg is a VERY busy and VERY talented and now VERY pregnant photographer ;-). I just LOVE her work and I’m so excited to have a new photog to inspire me. We really hit it off and I very much enjoyed working with her. We had actually made plans to get together again in New Mexico this fall, but we have since tabled our RV trip (boooo :-(. I’m so excited to “see” their new baby boy when he makes his arrival!

I hope I’m not telling on myself, but truly, this was one of the easiest sessions I’ve ever had (I guess I’ve paid my dues in the past). These boys were amazing and their parents were so relaxed and down-to-earth. Driving up to their home, I was getting *really* nervous because the skies were getting dark and there were rumors of bad storms (I guess that tells you how long ago this session was ;-). So when I got there, I told the boys that we were going to have to make it quick. They were absolute ANGELS! Not gonna lie…when I got a little giddy that their grandparents showed up for a few shots (celebrating a BIG anniversary this year). And I’m also not gonna lie about how mom’s eyes mesmerized me.
I literally just sent these proofs off to order and I thought mom would love a bigger peek into her completely relaxed and so very fun photo session. Ack! So many favs, it was hard to choose. There’s just so much adoration and emotion in this family. Now that I think about it, definitely going to have to do a “part 2” post.
