I think any photog can relate to how difficult it is to put together a portfolio. In a field where you can end up with thousands upon thousands of perfectly wonderful, portfolio-worthy images over the course of just one year, you *always* end up having to cut pictures that are dear to you in favor of keeping your website fresh and up to date. That’s why I absolutely dread the process of updating my portfolio and why I moved to a blogsite instead of a website. But by golly, I’m going to start a revolution…there should be a place for orphaned images on this site, too!
So, would you be willing to help me create a gallery of the Pinkle Toes All Star images? Please don’t think it narcissistic. I truly am curious to know those images on my blog that spoke to you or inspired you over the years. Images that have long since gone by the wayside. Images that even I don’t think about until someone says, “I always remember that this one picture you did where…”
If there is one image from my site that stood out to you, perhaps you could describe it or even better, post a link to it (you can e-mail me, if you’d rather). I’ll take your input and put together a gallery over the next few months. Maybe I could even pull a VH1 “Behind the Image” twist to it (I know I always love reading about what goes on behind the scenes).
Speaking of All Stars, remember the scandalous wedding a while back (Logi’s class was called The All Stars)? Well, the happy couple finally graduated preschool (above). My gosh…seeing how much they changed like this, my mommy heart just did a little wistful flutter.
I LOVE the nursing picture on the bed where the daddy’s head blocks the other booby. It’s just perfect!!!
I would love to see other photos from the past. I’m such a big fan of yours that I would really love to learn from you. It’s just too bad that we live far from each other. Always so inspirational.
That is the exact reason why I want a blogsite! Love yours and I’m looking forward to one day when I have mine that is so me. This is my favorite blog to stalk! Even long long before I joined PT4P! Have a great long weekend!

One of the first images I ever saw of yours was the little guy on the trike with the balloons streaming behind him. I remember loving the color and the joy of it all. I could name a bunch of others, but that was the first. 🙂
I have always ADORED the one of Amry where she is laying on the ground wearing a tutu. From this post:

L looks so adorable in his cap and gown! We had our Pre-K Graduation last night and even though I didn’t personally have a child on stage I still sobbed!!! I will miss my little angels as they go on to Kindergarten!
So many beautiful photos! One: Baby Amry in a basket wrapped around a deep red (knitted?) blanket, one little foot showing… unforgettable. Looking forward to this gallery.
There are so many Michele, and seriously, I can spend ALL day looking at your blog. Here are a couple of my faves that stick out in my mind:

http://pinkletoes.com/blog/2009/06/12/pinkle-toes-photography-a-mothers-love-austin-family-photographer/ [specifically the one with mom & baby laying in the grass…i love!]

And there might be one of a certain adorable newborn laying in a frame that I can add to the list 🙂
I will never forget that hilarious “Cat in Hat” image of your husband. Also, the underwater maternity is a forever favorite. So many gorgeous ones of Amry too, especially the one in the burgundy throw outside in a basket (in fog?), a Christmas shot in front of white lights, and was she the baby in the top suitcase in a Vintage style image? Another was one of your sons with his cars in a heart shape around him. Another, the baby on the motorcycle seat. This year’s shot of all 3 of your kids in the bluebonnets…I could go on and on!
OK, please save the one of the bride laying down in the creek. That picture got me hooked on your blog and even brought me to tears it was so beautiful
My opinion….your childbirth sessions are far and away the most amazing…
