…I’m guessing she has officially graduated and moved on to all of the incredible things that await her life after high school. She’s got it all, that’s for sure…sharp as can be, confident, a stunning, natural beauty, and a go-getter. It was a real treat to meet her and work with her this spring.

When you meet someone who is about to begin a life on her own and you notice that she is insanely beautiful and confident and intelligent, you have to wonder where she’ll go? What great things is she going to do with her life? Does she even realize how amazing she is and how many wonderful opportunities are going to come her way?

And then I start to wonder if I feel this way about *other* people’s children, how in the world am I going to survive when it’s time for my own birdies to leave the nest?

Last fall, everything was gold…the leaves, the light, the land, the flowers. How fitting to represent this time of golden opportunities that await after her senior year.

Had to laugh: we rescheduled her senior portraits due to freakishly strong winds only to end up on a day that was just as windy ;-). But you know what? It worked out for us just lovely, I think.

…Austin stays aglow.

How’s this for “not your typical senior portrait?” I was so thrilled when her and her mommy drove in to Austin for a “girls’ date” — a night on the town and then photo session with me in the morning, followed by a shopping trip to Anthropologie (bummer I couldn’t go on that one!). Anthro is SO her style and all throughout the shoot, images from my favorite catalogs were running through my head.

If you are a senior in the Austin area about to graduate (high school or college) in 2011, it’s not too late to schedule your senior portraits to commemorate the end of an incredible journey and the beginning of a new one. OR, if you are going to be in the Class of 2012, you have an opportunity to serve as a senior model for Pinkle Toes Photography. See HERE for details.

It was such a big hit for the Class of 2011 that I’m doing it again for the Class of 2012. Pinkle Toes Photography is once again looking for positive, outgoing, and energetic
high school juniors who will be graduating from any high school in the
Austin area in 2012 (Westlake, Cedar Park, Leander, Lake Travis, Round
Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown, etc). This is your chance to have your
senior portraits taken for FREE and earn unique photo rewards! Signed
model release will be required. The process is very selective and we
will only choose one senior model per high school. If you’re interested
in finding out more, please fill out this form. Only applications via this form will be considered. Deadline to apply is March 31, 2011.

Are you in the graduating Class of 2011 and still haven’t had your senior pictures taken? It’s not too late to book an appointment for your own pictures! Contact me for session information.

And be sure to check out the updated senior portraits gallery for more examples of senior sessions.

…because I’m not convinced she realizes just how lovely she really is.

[What does this mean?]

And more images from her session last month:

She is one of the most naturally beautiful young ladies I know. She takes after her mama, I think. I know it’s taxing to do a session on a school night, but I’m very honored you came out to play tonight.

I don’t often get to work with senior boys, but this was great! Pretty much everything he did was perfect and the light seemed to follow him around like a halo. Had a great session tonight, T, and I can’t wait to show you the rest of the pics!
