Archive for 'Austin Twins'
Oh, I was just bouncing up and down after my time with them that beautiful morning! Mom and dad are already the most wonderful people you’ll ever meet and I recall at their newborn session how admirably they had fallen into parenthood of twins with such grace and ease. They seemed to have it so together…even more so than some parents of singletons (ie. ME!). And even at six months, they are just as close and in love as ever. Amazing parents! Amazing little girls!
[Disclaimer: so as not to spend the entire evening behind my big, black Nikon box, I only took pics w/ my iphone 😉 You can forgive me, right?]
A good friend of mine shared THIS video with me and it absolutely inspired me because let’s face it, after our family’s fair share of hurt this year, I definitely have a desire to be happier. So, I decided to throw a party to thank some very special clients…people who have been with me since the very beginning, people I see year after year, people with whom I’ve shared laughter, tears, elation, and heartache. What better way to thank them than to give them a little shopping spree at one of my favorite stores, Kendra Scott Jewelry in good ol’ Austin, TX? And, even better, in the process, we were able to raise more than $1,100 to go toward the Melanoma Research Foundation. (Why?).
It could not have been a more perfect evening. I had SO much fun getting to visit with my clients dear friends while doing some girlie girl shopping with them. I got to hug each and every one of them and say, “Thank you,” in person. I even had a visit from my sissy and my hubby brought the kiddos by for a cupcake or two (PURE yumminess from Nothing Bundt Cakes in Westlake). I was walking on air that night. So much so, it is pretty much a given that we must repeat this next year. Right, ladies? Those who were not able to make it…here is your hug, too ;-). Sorry we missed you and hopefully, we’ll catch you next time around 😉
I still pinch myself sometimes. I can’t believe how many families I’ve been able to watch grow and change over these last seven years. I was telling a client the other day it’s funny because this is the longest I’ve stayed in one job…by far. My second longest was 2 years ;-). I am very thankful to have found a career that doesn’t really feel like “work.” It fulfills me and keeps me going. I get hang out with the most interesting, humorous, brilliant, beautiful people from all over the world…from all walks of life. I am very thankful for all of the clients I’ve met and the miracles I’ve witnessed and celebrated. Very thankful.
XOXO and very humbly yours,
Me
Make no mistake about it, this mama is BUSY!!! I remember being so amazed during her maternity session several years ago that there were TWO babies in there and now I’m just as amazed by how she keeps up with these adorable little monkey bugs with perfect grace and enthusiasm nowadays! In case you missed it, you should really treat yourself to these smarties in a little behind-the-scenes video from their session. Couple of favs featured HERE and HERE. And oh yes, we thought we’d revisit THIS attempt at a specific image last year ;-). I love both equally.
And finally, side note: the 3rd Annual Holiday Mini sessions are being snagged up pretty quickly. Don’t wait too much longer to secure your spot. We will not be adding extra dates and times.
I will always vividly remember this evening. It was super, duper warm and it also happened to be Food Trailer Tuesday in downtown at the park and so there were people *everywhere*. But that didn’t stop us. Not one bit. We laughed a lot, which is a wonderful thing because look at their smiles! These sisters are twins, yes, but their personalities are very, very distinct. And I loved that they got to share their senior portrait session experience together, but had plenty of one-on-one time as well. Beautiful girls with tons of much-deserved confidence and I hope their senior year is MAGIC!!! A neato little pic not pictured is shared HERE and another fav of them together HERE.
Goodness gracious these two have some BEAUTIFUL children! I remember the day she told me she thought she might be expecting again. I remember the day I heard they were having TWINS. I remember big brother coming in for his holiday mini session in December and wondering where in the world his mommy was!? His daddy told me she was on strict bedrest (due in Feb) and I felt so bad for her. I remember the total shock and surprise when I got an e-mail from mom that she the babies ended up being born *that very evening*! I remember being overjoyed and completely overwhelmed with worry for them. I remember seeing the first pictures of the babies posted online. I remember hearing that they finally got to come home. Sigh.
And that is where we picked up: just a few days after both babies were brought home. These two (actually, all three of them) could not have been more adorable and amazing. It can really go either way when you mix a toddler and a newborn together…it’s even more unpredictable when you’ve got a toddler plus TWO newborns, but big brother was incredible. So loving. So caring. And wanting to be part of all the action and dote on his little brother and sister. And check out that nursery! Mom laughed when she pointed out that all that time on bedrest, she had nothing to do but explore Pinterest. I kinda want to wrap myself up in that wallpaper ;-).
Two more favity favs can be found HERE and HERE. You won’t be sorry for indulging in a little bit more of their newborn wonderfulness.
I am SO excited to have partnered up with Gro Boutique to bring back the 2nd Annual Pinkle Toes Holiday Mini Sessions! This year’s theme is Candy Land and I’ve been working day and night to pull together this magical, sweet set. The *only* way to score one of these FREE exclusive kids-only mini sessions is by booking a full session for 2013. I just announced these a few days ago and the openings are already more than half full, so don’t wait around. And yes, if you bring in an unwrapped toy/gift to your mini, you’ll receive a special surprise ;-0. Please contact me ASAP to get the full details.
These two weren’t thrilled to be up so early in the morning, but once they got to exploring, they didn’t mind so much. Are you kidding me with those lace outfits at the beginning? Dear me. Too cute! At their newborn session, it wasn’t tough to tell who was who. Still holds true at one year! [Don’t miss the ultimate portrayal of motherhood outtake HERE.]
