For her senior portraits, she said she LOVED cityscapes and we were fortunate enough that evening to be blessed with the most wonderful sunset glow on the city of Austin. As far as I know, she’s heading up to New York City (a slightly bigger cityscape) to pursue a career in fashion. Very excited to see those dreams come true for her!

Double take.

When she first walked into the studio, I had to do a double take. “You are indeed pregnant, right?” because she was the tiniest little thing I’d ever seen. Thank goodness for this wrap shirt to help show off that adorable little bump.

oh, how I adore her.

Since her newborn session and at 6 months she’s had me wrapped around her adorably chubby little baby fingers. But I’ve become attached to her parents, too…

…and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring their property, where we decided to commemorate her 1 year birthday.

One year of motherhood. And fatherhood…

One full year as a family of three.

They have big plans for this place. Her daddy says he’s going to build her a tree house right here.

They are a wonderfully connected couple.

We were packing up and heading to the car when I noticed this scene…

…and then we headed to the house for a few more…

The one at the top w/ her and her daddy…love (be sure to check out Blake’s beautiful work.) I’d say parenthood looks good on them and they’ve done a wonderful job raising a joyful, charming baby girl.

we did it all.

This may very well have been the most active session I’ve ever
done…and that’s saying a lot because there were only two people
involved. I think it very accurately reflects where he is in his life
right now, which is *exactly* what his mommy wanted to capture.

First we
flew planes and skateboarded…

…then we played piano overlooking the city…

…followed by more skateboarding…

…and snuggles from mom.

Then we practiced some edible spelling…

…football…

(I hope he appreciates his spectacular peepers)

…and of course some baseball:

Yup. That covers it. We indeed did it all.

I can’t tell you enough how much I enjoyed this session. He reminds me so much of my middle son and it’s been such a pleasure watching this little guy grow up over the years. He and his family are close to my heart.

Look at that SMILE!

I imagine it makes her mama pretty happy to see her daughter glow like this. She’s already graduated and will be moving on to bigger and better things, I’m sure. It makes me a teeny bit nostalgic to look through all of my Class of 2011 seniors and see on my calendar that I’m starting sessions for my Class of 2012 students in just a few weeks. My word! Where does time go? These are truly some of the best times of your lives, seniors. Make as many memories as you can!

She was…

…just as sweet and beautiful as her parents and complete angel during her entire photo session. I do wonder if she’s going to get her mom’s honey-colored eyes 😉

Sort of a side topic:

Today I learned that Pinkle Toes Photography was nominated as one of Austin’s Best Birth and Best Infant Photographers! I’ve been meaning to share…

Finally hung up a display of our pics from my AMAZING friend, Marina! I love that I get to walk by this and relive our wonderful HI vacation over and over again.

While we saw a lot of rainbows in HI, we don’t get them like that every day around here. Unless it’s sunset in my studio…

How’s that for a random post where I was able to tie in two completely unrelated things?

she is my muse.

I cannot deny that this little beauty takes my breath away on a regular basis. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up the camera and just shot for the fun of it. It felt really good to do that and just hang out with my favorite little girl for a bit tonight.
