which was an absolute BLAST:
But I realized I hadn’t yet shared his 9 month session:
We were all so happy…so joyful…so eager to celebrate this little man’s birth! There were so many tears all around. Notice the one in his grandmother’s eye. We actually had to stop the session several times because we were so caught up in it all. I told them I would *never* be able to finish the session if we didn’t collect ourselves, but once the waterworks turned on, we were all goners. This one makes me giggle:
(I wish someone could have gotten all of us in the frame…you can’t see my own tissue 😉
But these last two images really captured the vibe of that morning for me. I was photographing dad and his boy and I could literally *feel* the gaze of mom back there. The love was so intense…so palatable. Wow. It got me. Still gets me.
November is almost, too,
Book your holiday session now,

We can hold it in July
Or August is neat.
For a full session those months,
You’ll get a special treat.
Obviously I’m tired,
And my poetry is lame.
But without family pictures,
Your cards simply won’t be the same.

1) I took her maternity pictures back in the day when she was expecting her first baby
2) it was really neat to see how differently she showed in each of the pregnancies
3) well…I got to watch him be born last week (first time photographing an actual c-section which was an incredible experience!)
4) I get to bask in his newborn cuddliness this weekend!
and 5) this is another one of those situations where my clients have become good friends and I simply feel blessed to know this family.
(I could have worked in this yellow room all day!)
Big sis “to be” got a little sleepy during our session and so she spent a little quiet time with her parents. These were my favorite moments.
And of course, the pupster had to be in some pictures!
(Oh, doesn’t mama remind you of Natalie Portman??? Well, I thought so anyway.)
