halloween_austin_child_photographer.jpgOkay, I did say I was taking a blog break, buuuuuut, since it *is* almost Halloween, how could I not share this session with you? (Plus, I’m sick and these images make me smile. Especially his oh so serious, “I’m Batman,” face.) I think it’s so cool that their mommy does Halloween cards every year.

And more fun shots from our time together:

So here’s the scoop. I’m not on an African safari right now (wish I was), but it’s going to be like I’m out of the country. The holiday season is (and has been) in full swing and so I’m all over the place. My e-mail inbox looks like a tornado went through it (a thousand apologies if you’re waiting on an e-mail from me) and I gotta get proofs and holiday cards and all kinds of goodies out to my clients ASAP. The blog is going to have to take the back burner (which is shame because I’m about 30+ sessions behind in my blogging 🙁 and I’ve been dying to show you these beautiful, amazing, wonderful families), but hopefully, things will settle down around Thanksgiving time (ha!) and we’ll be back to normal around here (for a little bit).

Am now thinking I would be much more efficient if *I* had two heads…

Mama said she wanted to go to a place where I hadn’t photographed before. That pretty much ruled out all of Austin, so we headed to historic Gruene. We battled multiple diaper changes and charity races and storm clouds and overly friendly hotel staff and the oh-so-typical two kids heading in opposite directions, but we managed to get some GREAT shots! So glad we all hung in there!

While I did post this one from the road the other day, I felt I owed it to my friend, Stacy, to give her a proper sneak peek. Honestly, I wish I had time to show her more because I think she will be amazed at how beautiful her family is together on camera.

I thoroughly enjoyed the time our families got to spend together in Port Aransas this weekend. That moonlit walk on the beach with the kiddos will go down as one of my favorite beach trip memories ever. I hope you guys made some amazing memories of your own down here in TX on your much-deserved vacation. I feel so blessed to have met such a kind friend and talented photog in person…finally!

Much love,

Michele

…because I’m not convinced she realizes just how lovely she really is.

[What does this mean?]

And more images from her session last month:

Thought this was a neat view from under the desk as I set everything up IN THE NEW STUDIO!!! Started the moving in process today. We’ve still got a ways to go, but let us not skip past the fact that I am typing from the studio as we speak. Wow. Wow. Wow.

One of the best parts of my job is getting to work with families in their own environments. These are the images your kids will go back and look through time after time…just to see how they lived “back then.”
