She has a smile that beams straight from her heart and a personality that simply can’t be contained. We had so much fun darting from here to there exploring around downtown. I love the vintage inspiration in her clothing.

We had to book it to catch the sunset (I tend to get distracted by pretty buildings and great clothes), but we made it…barely. A special thanks to her grandmother for trekking out into the field with us to help hold the light, in spite of the very real threat of fire ants (and I have the bites to prove it).

birth_cover_austin_photographer.jpg…you’re quite literally on the COVER of Midwifery Today Magazine (image from the birth of my beautiful baby girl created by my wonderful friend and fab photographer, Lyndsay–congrats again, Lynds!)

…AND…

…the photos *you’ve* taken at other births are featured throughout the same magazine (including one of another amazing photog and close friend, Mariah). I just had to giggle. It’s like the Austin photogs have taken over Midwifery Today ;-).  Or maybe Austin just makes birth look that cool.

Daddy dropped her off at school this time. Said it broke his little heart. At least she still looked cute as a button. (Dress made with patches purchased from here.)

This mom-to-be certainly is. I seriously thought she might go into labor during our session. Turns out, she didn’t. And still hasn’t. I can’t believe it!!! In spite of mom’s discomfort, I’m so glad we were able to make this session happen (delayed thanks to a little “rainstorm” last week) and I hope it’s not much longer of a wait for this beautiful family! See you when surprise #2 gets here!

first_austin_child_photographer.jpgOn that morning, she got dressed up in her preppy best, ate her bowl of oatmeal all by herself, helped me pack up the water bottle in her backpack, stood on tiptoes to kiss her brothers and her daddy goodbye, hopped into the car with me, and eagerly walked into her very first classroom.

first_austin_kids_photographer.jpgOn that afternoon, I picked her up–exhausted, hungry, with stringy hair, and bleary-eyed from crying all day.

Her, too.

This is not going to be easy. Not one bit.

As if the beautiful girl and her deer weren’t enough, then they brought out the giant pinwheels, and the old tractor equipment, *and* horses, too????!!! The whole time I seriously thought I had died and gone to Pinkle Toes heaven. This session was just pure magic and I’m so thankful to have met this family! (Congrats to them on Pic of the Month, too!)

I know I’m a tad bit late on this, but it was a tough choice. We have a tie:

horse_austin_baby_photographer.jpgI’ll be posting many, many more from her session soon.

Aaaaaaaand…
