angel.jpgMy sweet little angel.
Every day you surprise me with something new.
You’re so confident and eager to help.
I just can’t believe how well you comprehend the world around you.
I love your independent spirit.

Every morning, we snuggle in bed watching “Jack’s Big Music Show.”
Then we pick out your outfit.
Your favorite part is deciding on the shoes.
I swear I didn’t teach you that.

angelblue.jpgEach day, it’s juice for breakfast,
“Teeeeeeeeea!” for lunch.
And milk for dinner.

While I’m working, you love to run in and say, “Boo!” with a big grin.
Then you burst into giggles as you run away to try it again.

angelpaint.jpgYou love to swing.
You love your books.
You love music.
You love your baby.
You love tormenting your brothers.
You love being Daddy’s little girl.

angelfeet.jpgEvery night, ready for bed, “dat” clutched securely in your arms, thumb perched in mouth,
You motion to each of us for kisses.
You are pretty much in charge of this family.
And we are happy to be your subjects.

angellast.jpgI’m not sure you’ll ever fully understand how loved you are and how much you have blessed this family. I’m not sure I’ll ever find the words to tell you that.

basket2_austin_newborn_photographer.jpg
This little sweetheart has me re-thinking all of my “rules” when it comes to newborns, starting with “newborns have to be photographed within the first two weeks of birth.” At four weeks old, she was a perfect little…

angel_austin_newborn_photography.jpgYES! Finally, I can share these adorable little tees with you and I couldn’t resist having Baby L model for me today.

So here’s the story: A looooooong time ago (well, okay, back over the holidays) one of my dear clients gifted this tank to my baby girl and I fell in love with it. But I was even more moved to learn that these You Are Good tees help support the mission and children of CASA!

Upon hearing that, I decided to give Jennifer at You are Good “a wing” (her clever term, not mine) to tell her I wanted to help and this is the result of our partnership. So now, while supplies last, my 2010 clients can purchase a You are Good/Blog Angel onesie or tank at a special rate and show their support for abused and neglected children in Texas! I’m limiting this just to my clients who have had or have already booked a session (Xpressions or Premium) in 2010 for now simply because I have such a limited supply. However, that’s not to say we couldn’t open it up in the future. Let’s just see how this goes.

angel_colors.jpgRemember, right now, this is for 2010 clients only, but stay tuned to the blog for further updates. Also, keep checking back on this inventory list before purchasing so you’ll know if something is out of stock.

Inventory:

White onesies – 6-12 mos = 9
Blue onesies – 3-6 mos = 2

For the most part, the beautiful wildflowers that were here just a few weeks ago have faded and gone to seed–well, with the exception of one amazing field I happened upon for yesterday’s session, right J?–but you’ll have to wait to see those. This was the most incredible year I’ve ever seen for wildflowers here in Austin…and I’ve lived here for more than a decade now.  I promise I tried not to tromp through the flowers too much and hopefully, this year allowed them a chance to really establish themselves so they’ll keep blessing us with their beauty for years to come.

[These are some of the retouched images printed for my clients from our last round of Xpressions sessions].

baby_a_austin_newborn_photographer.jpgGot all wrapped up in his birth photos that I totally forgot that I hadn’t blogged his newborn photo session, yet! Sigh…can’t wait to see him again in a few months to see how much he’s grown!!

car_austin_baby_photographer.jpgAfter I don’t even know how many times we had to reschedule (rain, birth, rain, etc.), we finally got to have our session for this sweet angel. She was so beautiful–like make you stop and catch your breath kind of beautiful. And we could not have asked for a more beautiful day for our session. Sometimes, I think things have a way of working out for the best.

[And how fortuitous that a very generous client happened to bequeath that ROCKIN’ pink car to me yesterday? A million thank you’s!]

Hospital lighting is harsh, yet oh so dramatic. This birth really got me, but in a good way. 😉
